Patrick John Burnett,MA, PhD Candidate
Patrick is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of British Columbia. His current research employs relational field theoretic principles alongside a multi-method analytical approach to investigate the ways in which social position, time and experience shape the practices of people who pay for sexual services in Canada. Prior to this, he has employed his relational field approach to understand the socio-cultural forces that shape the health practices of Canadians and the safe sex practices of people who pay for sex in Canada. Patrick is also the co-founder of Relational Academia [RA],a data-driven Startup exploring the nature of academic career paths and the emergent relational networks that connect and isolate universities over time.
Patrick is a Research Assistant on the Street-To-Screen Study.
