A current focus of the Capacity Research Unit is to explore innovative methods to ethically generate knowledge. There is growing concern that the interrelated ethical and methodological challenges in research surrounding marginalized populations (e.g., sex work) may be influencing the types of knowledge generated and the utility of this knowledge to improve our understanding of the multidimensional features that perpetuate or challenge marginalization. While our ongoing and future studies will continue to examine these issues and generate knowledge to enhance ethical research, we would like to highlight and share some resources that have helped shape our work and which may be of value to researchers, those participating in research or others engaging in the research process.
